Blinded AC/DC Fan To Sue Venue
March 9, 2010John Simpson of Australia's South-East Advertiser reports: A Morningside quadriplegic blinded in a freak accident at an AC/DC concert says he intends to sue the event's organizers.
Terry Watson, 32, was watching the sold-out show on February 27 from a special raised podium for wheelchairs when a mate accidentally hit the control stick on his motorized chair, sending him hurtling off the platform and on to the floor of the arena one meter below.
At the moment of impact, the end of a metal prod strapped to Watson's hand speared into his right eye, penetrating his brain.
